My Process in Rebranding
For an assignment my classmates and I were assigned to choose a dead or dying brand and develop a new brand inspired by the original. I chose to use the original F.W Woolworths later knows as Woolworths or Wool Co. Other aspects were designed however I am featuring the logo I created. This image portrays my experimentation with different shaped for the final logo.
After creating thumbnails and a set of quick sketches I made two rough drafts before sending it over to Procreate to work on the digitized version of this logo. This is the image I used as a reference while doing so.
I received some feedback from the previous version that gave me some a direction. It took me several hours to get the image to where I was happy with where I was before getting more feedback on where I was in the process.
Using only Procreate as the sole illustration software is how I made this logo. I made all of my iterations in procreate before sending it over to Adobe Illustrator to convert the images into vectors, I’m pleased with how this logo turned out.
